Ghoomar celebrates the spirit of Rajasthan, builds connections across communities and grows with a purpose beyond performance.
Founded by Anjali Bapna, Ghoomar is an independent cultural initiative created to preserve and promote authentic Rajasthani folk dance across the world — while building opportunities to support artists, artisans, communities and meaningful social causes.
Dance is the beginning, not the boundary. Ghoomar's longer journey connects cultural preservation with people, livelihoods, community and giving back.
The first-ever Rajasthani Ghoomar workshop in the Netherlands was successfully held on 4 September 2026.

After building Ignited Minds in the Netherlands, Anjali felt a growing desire to give back to Rajasthan — the place where she was born, raised, taught and nurtured. Through a personal journey of faith and prayer, a renewed desire to dance Ghoomar helped crystallize the name and direction for this new cultural initiative.
Ghoomar is not merely about dance classes or dancing. Its vision is to preserve and promote authentic Ghoomar and other Rajasthani folk traditions internationally by collaborating with artists and organizing workshops, awakening the dancer within and encouraging more Ghoomar enthusiasts.
As it grows, Ghoomar aims to promote and support the wider local ecosystem that keeps the culture alive — artists, artisans, jewellery makers, local sellers, photographers, tailors, small shop owners and budding designers.
Ghoomar belongs to them.
